Looking for Inspiration?

Like a doctor being stuck on an airplane next to someone asking for medical advice... one of the workplace hazards of being a Realtor is having to "tour" every home you step foot into, and often being asked what you think someone should do to improve his or her home.

Truly a "hazard", not really! Warner and I both love what we do and are quite opinionated when it comes to such questions (to all questions, really). So, for all those who have asked in the past and those likely to ask in the future, let me share one of my favorite online resources for design ideas.

HGTV's online design guides are great sources of inspiration. This is where I started with almost every client I had while working in the remodeling industry. Before we took a trip to the surface or fixture retailer, we started searching for ideas online.

Whether your tastes run traditional or more toward the modern, consider compiling a "look book" to give to your contractor and material suppliers before beginning any major remodel project. And, remember, our advice is always free!
